Leopards devour Eagles in Belgium With a 2:0
NIGERIA on Thursday, recorded her first loss under Coach Sunday Oliseh as the Leopards of Congo DR humbled the Super Ea gles 2-0 in an international friendly played in Vise, Belgium.
The defeat came on a day former Eagles captain, Vin- cent Enyeama bidded bye to the national team amid an altercation with Sunday Oliseh for reporting late to camp after burying his late mother in Akwa Ibom.
Two first half goals by Dieumerci Mbokani in the seventh minute and Jordan Nkololo in the 31st minute was all the |Congolese needed to run away with an easy victory.
The first goal came from inside the box as Mbo- kani shot low to the left of the Nigerian keeper, Carl Ikeme.
A ball-watching Nigeria defence was punished for Congo to double their lead, when Jordan Nkololo tucked the ball home after a great piece of attacking play from the left wing.
In the 41st minute, Ogenyi Onazi’s free kick was heading for the top corner of the DRC goal, but goal- keeper Parfait Madanda did well to push it away for a corner kick.
Nigeria chased the game from the opening goal, but they did not create any clear-cut chance at goal and Congo were also resolute in their defending.
