There are conflicting reports about the appearance of embattled former Minister of Petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, in a London court today. BBC's Sam Piranty had earlier in the day reported that Diezani had appeared in court with her mother Beatrice Agama, a position Sahara reporters is also reporting. However Sam Piranty has tweeted again saying she did not appear in court. The Cable in their report also say that she did not appear in court, that the court sent them a mail.
Sahara Reporters still maintains she showed up in court today alongside her mother. What has however been confirmed is that an application for detention of cash seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act was today made against Diezani. £27,000 was reportedly seized from Diezani while some monies was also seized from her mother. See Sam Piganty's tweets below...
