What the APC government has been doing daily proves some of us right that there is and can never be any dif­ference between the cancerous PDP and these deceivers that call themselves agents of change.

If APC signifies change, then it is false change – a change that is vain, hollow and fraudulent as that PDP bandied for 16 disas­trous years, with a very corrupt, ravenous and rapacious Olusegun Obasanjo regime to an eternally weak and corrupt Goodluck Jonathan era, with a breather short hiatus by a good man that meant well but would not be allowed by ill health to perform, Umar Yar’Adua. We saw it all with PDP.

I have a man I revere in Nigeria and his name is Gani Fawehinmi. He was a great example.

Sometime during his soldiery days of caging the locusts that swarmed on Nigeria, he was asked to compare between the IBB regime and that of the goggled goon, Abacha. And Fawe­hinmi, a man of sharp retorts, just said that whereas IBB drove positively towards destruc­tion, that Abacha drove negatively towards the same destruction.

When Abdulasalami Abubakar took over, he cautioned Nigerians to watch and monitor him so that he won’t be worse than others.

In the context at hand, I have watched these same men whom 80% of them are from the PDP family and just did some re-christening to become saints and agents of change, and I am sure they have one thing that PDP lacked. That thing is rabid propaganda depth. APC knows more propaganda than leadership. They have and bandy propaganda spiced and laced with agitation. A popular psychologist, JAC Brown differentiated between propaganda and agitation. Whereas he couched propaganda as a set of campaigns targeted at an individual to change his mindset, agitation is like one issue targeted at anonymous audience – that is many people to harangue and hound them into super suggestibility, which is hypnosis.

APC knows and uses the two. While PDP was full of tricks and incapacity for leadership, APC has the same traits and added agitation and propaganda as caps.

They churn out a myriad of lies and half truths everyday to hoodwink the uninformed. In fact I am sure the policy of APC won’t be different from that of the USSR Communist Party under Josef Stalin. They targeted to an­nihilate and fed the masses the doses of lies in quantities that made them live long and keep listening to the same yarns.

It was potent that to skew the minds of young and future Russians from believing in God, they were locked up in rooms and denied food. In their hunger, they were commanded to cry and ask God to send them food. When they must have got tired crying and about fainting, they would again be urged to cry and ask Sta­lin to send them food. When they do this, food appears and the question would be: between God and Stalin who answered you? The hun­gry kids would naturally chorus that Stalin did. And the admonition to them is that since Stalin answered, then he is the one that exists and not God that could not answer.

I raise this ante to call on Nigerians never to be carried away and sucked in by APC mass hypnosis on them. Nigerians are like people that have been starved for long, and away from PDP, they seem to live with this notion of escap­ing darkness into the light. But I bet, we would be terribly wrong because we are dealing with the same people, now reincarnated with sugar-coated tongues that enable them gnaw at your flesh and blow soothing breeze on you to as­suage the pain. It is like the doctor tearing you and adding more and more painkillers. At last, when you realize you have been hurt, it would have been too deep to enable you act.

Nigerians should give APC all the allegiance and support, but with their eyes wide open. We get carried away with all those Lai Mohammed confusion and fabrications. By the time the dead would wake up, it would be late.

I hear a lot going on and ask, do we accept a government by its works or the names of the people that run it? In the APC case, we seem to have concluded that the combination of let­ters implies good. It never does. APC is PDP in another name, simple.

In all the days PDP was here, every rainy season saw us having improved power supply. Yet, that improved supply is just improved in the Abuja metropolis and not even the entire FCT. My family lives in Lagos and I can attest that all the noise the paid mouthpieces of Bu­hari and APC make on TV, radio and the news­papers is hollow and deceptive. PDP in the past told us that when the water volume increases in our dams, power supply surges, and the reverse takes over during low ebb in the dry season. APC government came in the rainy season and that is the period for high ebb and slight im­provement in power supply to Abuja.

Kindly ask the noise agents if there is any improvement in power supply in their vil­lages and rural areas before the deception goes too far. Last month, I spent a night in Onitsha, Anambra State and the sorry tale I heard from the managers of the hotel is of very poor and dismal and criminal power supply system and the rip-off they are subjected to by the Enugu Electricity holding company or what their real name is. Improved electricity system is a chain from the generation to distribution and avail­ability for consumption. Pray, since APC came in, what is that power improvement policy statement you ever heard from them let alone the implementation?

I have not known that community or city where the dilapidated transformers, broken down power grids, the absent meters that had been paid for by the consumers and not sup­plied have been rectified. So with the same di­lapidation APC inherited and has not acted on, how did we come to this criminal manipulation of the mind that power availability under Bu­hari is a different and better story?

Everyday, a new propaganda is churned out. If it is not in education, it is in agriculture, and yet, we see nothing. Nigerians should open their eyes before this fraud catches up with them.

Even the Treasury Single Account policy that threatens poor banks workers with sack in tens of thousands is hailed as a landmark achievement of the APC. I am scandalized for real. How many days has President Muham­madu Buhari spent junketing and globetrotting like Obasanjo did? It has been from ‘West Ger­many’ to USA, to almost all African countries in four months, to France and later this month for the UN parley in New York. Nigeria is not counting again as it did in Obasanjo’s days. Today, because it is Buhari that manages Ni­geria from the cabin of his presidential jet, all is well. Meanwhile, for the longest period of four months of any known new administration, there is no cabinet and they make you swallow the pill and overdose of their lies that Buhari is taking his time to select angels from heaven that will run his government.

Worst of all, as PDP failed in providing Ni­geria leadership, so it is failing is providing us opposition to the excesses and sleepy posture of APC administration of lies and propaganda. By the time the reality drops us in the face, Nigeria will moan in vain for a relief that will take long to come. Whoever takes the Nigerian politician for granted would be a mere dummy. APC has perfected running an idle administration with poisoned propaganda that coaxes many into destructive quietude.
