Hindu nationalists have long propagated their belief that many discoveries of modern science and technology were known to the people of ancient India. But now for the first time an Indian prime minister has endorsed these claims, maintaining that cosmetic surgery and reproductive genetics were practiced thousands of years ago.
As proof, Narendra Modi gave the examples of the warrior Karna from the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata and of the elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesha.

Terrorism: Who Pays Boko Haram?

For more than 10 years of existence of the radical Islamist movement, Boko Haram, has significantly worsened the socio-political and economic situation in Nigeria. Since its formation in the early 2000s, the insurgents have been carrying out violent attacks around the country. Since 2009, when the group’s founding leader Mohammed Yusuf was killed and replaced by his second-in-command, the attacks have grown significantly, became more violent and intense.
Despite the poverty in northern Nigeria, where 70 per cent of people live on less than N100 a day, the Boko Haram terrorist group has at its disposal a seemingly limitless amount of heavy weaponry, vehicles, bombs and ammunition which it uses to kill with unfathomable wantonness. Boko Haram is very well-funded, with the ever-increasing cash flow.

The 5 biggest breakfast myths

(Life by DailyBurn) -- The first meal of the day can have a very different meaning for different people. For some, it's grabbing a granola bar to nibble on during the morning commute; for others, it includes a big omelet with a cup of coffee at home.
Then there are the millions who forego grub in the a.m. altogether.
But how do these morning behaviors really affect weight loss, energy levels and appetite throughout the day? In order to help you crack the breakfast code, we tracked down the latest research, in addition to insights from Katherine Zeratsky, a nutrition instructor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Most affordable big cities in the U.S.

Big cities offer more employment opportunities, more things to do and more people to meet than smaller towns. But they also have drawbacks, from congestion and crime to high costs. That's why a big city with a small price tag is uniquely appealing, offering urban perks without urban expenses.
We identified the 10 U.S. cities with populations above 250,000 that have the lowest living costs. Cheap living alone doesn't guarantee a good place to live; we also list household incomes, home values and unemployment rates for each of these cities, so you can focus on the economic factors that are most important to you. In all cases, home values are below the national average, and in most cases jobless rates are better than average. Household incomes in these cities fall below the national average, but in many cases paychecks are solid relative to living costs. Because big-city traffic can impact your quality of life, we even list the average commute times for workers.
Take a look at our 2014 list of the most affordable big cities in America, and decide if one of these cheap places to live makes sense for you.

If you’re planning to get a flu shot, now is the time: the vaccine offers the best protection before flu season kicks into high gear in late fall. “The flu vaccine is the number one way to prevent influenza unless you live in a bubble,” said Susan Rehm, MD, vice chair for Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Infectious Disease. 6 Ways to Boost Your Odds of IVF Success

As the rate of first-time moms over age 35 rises—it’s up to 15 percent in the U.S. now—so does the country’s reliance on in-vitro fertilization. In fact, what was once a last-resort procedure has become increasingly routine: In 2012, U.S. doctors performed 165,172 fertility procedures—more than 99 percent of which were IVF, according to the most recent data from the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, reflecting a 7 percent increase over 2011.
And how many of those procedures actually lead to deliveries? Among women younger than 35, the data shows that 46 percent of the embryo transfers resulted in live births. That number drops to 38 percent for women ages 35 to 37, and 28 percent for women ages 38 to 40.
Although those stats may sound discouraging, consider this
: Only 55 percent of “chromosomally normal” embryos successfully become a baby, “whether you make them at home in bed, or whether you make them in a lab,” Jamie Grifo, M.D., program director of the NYU Fertility Center, told Yahoo Health. “It’s mostly not under your control. It’s about the luck of getting a good embryo.”

5 Foods That May Hurt Male Fertility

New research suggests a poor diet can wreak havoc on more than a man’s pants size. (Photo by Getty Images)

Guys, you’ve heard the standard advice for protecting your swimmers: Don’t wear tight undies. Keep your laptop far from, well, your lap. Stop smoking ASAP. But there may be an even easier way to shield your sperm —  watch what you eat. “We’ve noticed that fertility has been decreasing over the past several decades. And guys want advice to improve upon matters,” said Dr. Ryan Terlecki, director of the Men’s Health Clinic for the Wake Forest University Department of Urology. “Most guys have never even heard that anything in their diet could impact sperm count.”

But the truth is, an emerging body of research suggests that the foods you pile on your plate may play a role in the number of sperm you have (count), whether they’re normally shaped (morphology), and how well they move (motility).

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is headed to London this season, and in anticipation for the December 9th spectacular, a group of Angels recently participated in a grueling 5-hour-a-day boxing boot camp in Mexico.
The program is the brainchild of former pro boxer and owner of New York City’s Aerospace High Performance Center, Michael Olajide, Jr. and his former ballet-dancing partner, Leila Fazel. Olajide, who’s famous for training supermodel Iman and for getting Adriana Lima’s post-baby body in tip-top shape in just eight weeks, came up with the idea to create a model boxing camp out of his own experience.
Welcome to my Blog!
Wanna know ABOUT ME?
OK,
Am like Wale Adenuga who is nothing but pencil in the hands of the Creator, and who is my creator? It must be (JEHOVAH) God and God only. Does that interest you? So, true knowledge is not attained by thinking, IT IS WHAT YOU ARE; IT IS WHAT YOU BECOME. At the center of my being, I have the answer, I KNOW WHO I AM. and I KNOW WHAT I WANT. Just like Socrates, I am not an Athenian nor a Greek, but a citizen of the world. If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain because that heart will stop the other from breaking and that other heart may do the same. Am willing to make sacrifices to an extent because I am capable of changing and rearranging my priorities so that my final goal can be achieved. Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged. There are times when I take a few extra chances and create my own realities. Am strong enough to at least make my life better. Am enough that I won't settle for a compromise just to get by. I appreciate myself by allowing myself the opportunities to GROW, DEVELOP, and FIND MY TRUE SENSE OF PURPOSE IN THIS LIFE..

DO YOU THINK YOU ARE IN A WRONG RELATIONSHIP? FIND OUT HERE!

Is there a nagging voice inside you? Something telling you that maybe this person you’re spending time with isn’t the best person for you to be with? That there’s someone better?
That your current relationship isn’t what you had dreamed for yourself? If so, then these are probably feelings you want to explore further. Here are eight signs that you are dating the wrong person.

Sign #1: You’re not Happy
This is a great place to start. Someone who is dating the right person consistently enjoys the relationship and feels a general sense of happiness. We’re not saying that they wouldn’t argue or be upset with their partner occasionally; even the healthiest couples do that. And we’re not saying that there wouldn’t be times when a person in a good relationship would get down or struggle emotionally at some level. But generally speaking, a person who is in the right relationship is going to be happy. So if you find yourself unhappy much of the time – and especially when you’re with your partner – then that’s a fairly clear sign that this may not be the best person for you.

unLike  some patients , Thomas Eric Duncan and Spanish priest Miguel Pajares also received treatment in the West. Yet they died.
While there might not be a single, conclusive answer, a series of factors may contribute to survival.

WIZKID 'S RESPONSE TO SAMKLEF AND SAEON'S ALLEGATIONS

like vickytemoi would say!

OK Guys,
let's HONESTLY look at this matter: lol
First, i want to say that i am not a huge fan of wizkid, but my notion must be aired out.

1) we should never mistake PRIDE for SELF CONFIDENCE. I know for some months now wizkid's reputation has come out as that of someone with pride. but common, its true, why will saeon go to wizkid? To make a HIT!!!! WIzkid's name on the song alone is an advertisement! There's no need for social media for any hype! Wizkid clearly stated that they are not friends, so he did his thing. She should have made it known to him she want's to buy his tweets or something not collaborate.

Are you Nigerians for or against the recent Boko Haram ceasefire?

Let's discuss folks. I've been reading a lot of comments and articles on this matter and it looks like opinions are divided. The Nigerian military yesterday announced a ceasefire with Boko Haram after years of terrorism from the group, which has resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent Nigerians. The ceasefire agreement includes the release of over 200 Chibok girls - which to me is a very welcome development. There are reports that some of these girls will be released to the man who brokered the peace deal, Chadian president, Idriss Deby, sometime next week, to show they (Boko Haram) are serious about the ceasefire agreement with the Nigerian government.

But there are those who still think that the government shouldn't have negotiated with these terrorists. After the cut, you will find an article from Dr Perry Brimah of Ends.ng, about why Nigerians should reject these ceasefire deal. As for me, I support peace anytime. Too many innocent people have died unnecessary. But read and tell us if you agree with him...

Nigerians Reject Ceasefire With Boko Haram Terrorists; Use The $1bn For War, not #Election2015: #VictoryForNigeria
The people of Nigeria vehemently reject the announced ceasefire with Boko Haram terrorists at this last hour as the 2015 presidential election approaches. It defies reason how and why the Nigerian government will debase the collective intelligence and humanity and extinguish the hope of Nigerians by unilaterally agreeing to a so-called ceasefire with rag-tag terrorists who currently occupy several major cities in the north. Bama, Gwoza, Marte, Ngala, Konduga and Dikwa are still under full control of the Boko Haram terrorists.
The discussions on freeing the 4 month old abducted girls no longer has any bearing on the process of this war. When entire communities are under Boko Haram governorship, of what significance is the 234 girls? The 234 girls only comes up for global audiences who have not noticed that since the abduction, several Nigerian communities have rather fallen under Boko Haram. The Nigerian leadership must be reminded that the parents of the Chibok girls have already conducted the burial rights of their children and sacrificed them for the greater good of the country as God wishes. Who is fooling who?
The desire to have a ceasefire with these hopeless, murderous terrorists who are on the run is treacherous and follows the routine of disgraced ex-general Ihejirika who likewise allowed periods of peace after onslaught on the terrorists to allow them recover and recuperate; while in his hatred for the communities in Nigeria’s north, deliberately allowing he terrorists periods to replenish their arms and ammunitions and to forcibly recruit and train thousands of abducted and forcefully conscripted innocent northern children who will again be sacrificed and killed in the next battle with the Nigerian military when war resumes. This fight and cease cycle maintained the genocide of northern youth in the tens of thousands.
Nigerians demand fire for fire. We reject any attempt at ceasefire with the terrorists. We decree that the war with Boko Haram continues every day as we declare Boko Haram our mortal, eternal enemies to fight till either of us cease to exist.
What does President Jonathan plan to do with the $1 billion he borrowed to “fight Boko Haram” if he is negotiating with them now that we see #VictoryForNigeria in the horizon, and all we need is to continue the brave push by our men in uniform and brave Civilian-JTF? Is the $1 billion for the elections in 2015 as most have suggested?
Any negotiation short of full and unconditional surrender of all terrorists is treason and an act of terror participation and sponsorship by the army Chiefs and head of State.
There can be no ceasefire with Boko Haram.
We the Nigerian people reject any sort of negotiation with these terrorists who have freely caused us unquantifiable pain without mercy for the full 6 years of the Jonathan administration under Ihejirika and now under Maj. General Minimah.
